I replaced all the headliner panels on Alianna a few years ago with 1/8 inch
thick white Plexiglas fastened with round head Phillips stainless steel
screws which is what was there when I took ownership and which Wally calls
the "industrial" look. It looked fine when I first did it but after a short
time the material warped between the fasteners which were spaced about 6-8
inches apart. Next time I do it I will use 1/4 inch thick material in order
to reduce edge warping; otherwise I am not unhappy with the "industrial"
look and I think the 1/4 inch thick stuff would have just a good an
appearance as 1/8 inch thick. I haven't counted, but I would estimate there
are well over 100 ss fastener heads spread over the headliner throughout the
cabin.

At a YC in Sydney Australia a race is held every week throughout most of
the year. Your start time, based on your recent performance, is posted
on their website. The start line is just off the club house. A large
digital clock, which is visible from the starting area, is used as a
reference. Of course it is all on the honor system.

I was most impressed with the fact that they start at 1:00 p.m. on
Friday afternoon - very civilized. It's easy to develop racing
expertise, but hard to explain so many long Friday afternoon meetings.
