Hi Dwight
Not sure why it is considered such an obsticle on the foredeck, doesn't bug
me at all. And down below the attachment is just inside the door to the
v-berth, to the port of it. Don't even notice it except when the boy strums
it, makes a deep "twang" noise...

I am not that familiar with the baby stay set up on the 35/3 but I know
the
design is very slippery and I believe the PHRF is fair.

I chose the 35/2 and was reason was the rig...no baby stay and single
spreader with fore and aft lower shrouds...I was familiar with that set up
because it was the same as on my 27/3. I did not want a baby stay because
of the obstacle it creates on the fore deck...is its attachment to the
keel
also an obstacle below decks? I hope not!!!

HI Bill
I don't have pics, can try to remember but I even forget to take
pictures of my kid so... :-)

Great that the bolt is still there. On mine the hardware is:
bolt threads into the bottom of a turnbuckle barrel, on the top of the
turnbuckle is the short section of rod. At the top on mine the rod goes
through an aluminum plate, the rod has a head formed that keeps it on
the plate, and the aluminum plate is a backing plate for the track mount.
