Ditto here as well, I would have made the error in judgment regardless of the 
original author.  Nothing specific to you nor your family - I has thought the 
response was funny because of a personal error in judgment a long long time ago.

I was amused because the lack of an apostrophe gives the comment an alternative 
meaning.  A grammatical mistake that I can totally relate to and found amusing.

In any event, my apologies are extended as well.
