I stopped in at Blockbuster this evening and checked out the "wind" products.
Two might be of interest to me but I know zip all about them. 1) Nexus "s" $524 Android 2.3? 2) Huawei $120 Android 2.1? I have also considered an iPod which I will have to jail break probably before it is out of the box! What I need is something with GPS and navigation capability and it would be nice if I could have a dash mounted road map. I want to be able to talk to it. Since I have the ELO album then we all know my robot should be beautiful but is she made by IBM? I need voice -> text and text -> voice. I'll also want to Rsync files to and from my servers which is why before I would start with an iPod it gets a jail break. If its got GPS then I probably want "real" GPS off the birds because I might end up in the Gobi desert and in this case if it can interface to the iridium system that would be a plus. I need an app where it time stamps where I am like if I'm off lost in the desert and it tracks me. But then if I find a lost city then I want to be able to dictate what I've found and this needs a time stamp and the voice -> text and the rsync to the servers. Any ideas? Suggestions? Warnings?
