A few things for you to consider:
* There is a new player coming in soon called Mobilicity & they will be playing in the same spectrum as Wind. (A friend of mine works there)
* I believe they will have the Google S as well.
* I was considering Wind, but for me the biggest challenge is coverage. It is great f you are in one of their cities, but outside of that, who knows...you may pay more then you want. This is to be expected with a new network that is growing. * Shaw will soon be coming in with mobile as well..late 2011 I believe. It s expected that they will be a white label...essentially rebranded from someone else. That will likely mean one of the big players (my guess Bell), but seeing as they have been cost sharing on towers with Wind, it could be there stuff also. * I love the whole idea of no contracts, etc. Gives the consumer control. I believe Wind & likely Mobilicity as well will have unlocked phones & unlimited plans, so you have that going for you also.

All i can say is do your research. I am currently looking at the Atrix from bell mostly because of the availability of the lapdock.

I stopped in at Blockbuster this evening and checked out the "wind" products.

Two might be of interest to me but I know zip all about them.

1) Nexus "s" $524 Android 2.3?

2) Huawei $120 Android 2.1?

I have also considered an iPod which I will have to jail break probably before
it is out of the box!

What I need is something with GPS and navigation capability and it would be
nice if I could have a dash mounted road map. I want to be able to talk to it.
Since I have the ELO album then we all know my robot should be beautiful but
is she made by IBM?

I need voice -> text and text -> voice.

I'll also want to Rsync files to and from my servers which is why before I
would start with an iPod it gets a jail break.

If its got GPS then I probably want "real" GPS off the birds because I might
end up in the Gobi desert and in this case if it can interface to the iridium system that
would be a plus.

I need an app where it time stamps where I am like if I'm off lost in the desert
and it tracks me. But then if I find a lost city then I want to be able to
dictate what I've found and this needs a time stamp and the voice -> text and
the rsync to the servers.

Any ideas? Suggestions? Warnings?

Thanks!
