As part of the Steve Jobbs plan to take control of the world away from Bill Gates...... there are certain things such as software updates for Apple products that as far as I know, you can only do using iTunes I had considered using a stripped down version of WinXP in Vitrual Box just to be able to occasionally do what ever maintenance required on my iPhone/iPod. Until I get back to Calgary to get my install disk for WinXP that won't happen. So unless someone has a VB image of XP they are willing to share, I will be SOL for a few weeks. I was hoping for an alternative so I wud not have to install iTunes on the Win7 partition. Unfortunately when I got my phone, I had no other choices available for what I wanted the device to do..... BB Storm had no Wi-Fi and was not on the 3g network as I recall and android phones were not available and still do not have some of the apps that I use available. I am not an Apple fan boy by a long shot, but they are the market leader for those devices for the present and yes I do use another program for managing my music' > If you want to stay away from bloat and > unnecessary baggage and dodgy processes running in the background, I'd stay > away from iTunes!! even on Winblows it causes problems.
