This would be interesting. I know that the casino can be a large source of funds. Many non-profits use it to fund a substantial amount of their operating budget. I know of at least two groups that get in excess of $30k per year from the casino. I have no idea how the rules work as to how much a group can get, but funding a local open source developer sounds like a great idea. Especially if the work that developer does can benefit a local need / niche.
