If you want to make a game, then make a game. Don't worry about looking "cool" about it. You don't need to have some feature to make something entertaining :) .
I'm making a game with a tool called GameMaker. Not as full-featured or powerful as with a programming language? Sure, but then I want to first have a game under my belt, then I'll worry about looking cool in the process :) .
