Because Emergencies happen. If a person is extremely sick, they can not get to the meeting. Look it up - You can find yourself.... Also, if a person is not answering, and as a conscientious radio operator, we should check in on them and find out what happened. As an active member, I called and found out.
What do you think I should do for people that commit to a function and do their job? I have a few situations right now.... Also, what do you think I need to do as a member when I was yelled at and in a public place by an officer? As an active member, you are listed on the roster. You look for the person's call sign or name and you can find their number. Just call and ask. But please, look on the roster for w5lic - you should see at least your name.
