OK - as for the Hamfest... Let's talk about Winter Field day. I was told
that 2 people were running the Winter Field Day. Can I ask where the other
half was?
I had to manage it myself and tech and make sure everyone was good.
As for meetings, I was the only one working with the teams.

If we want to throw stones, I have some boulders too. But I work with
people and work around the issues. If someone has a problem, tell me and I
will work with them.

As for this meeting, I properly got on and no one was there. I called and
found that there were multiple circumstances that affected the reschedule.
I am ok with that and knowing all the facts instead of blasting people, I
accept the change and continue.

As for by-laws....
Furthermore, in the latter event, at approximately 1 hour prior to the
original scheduled meeting time, the Corresponding Secretary shall
prominently post on the entrance door of the
original meeting site, the time, date and location of the rescheduled
meeting and left until the rescheduled
meeting is adjourned.

Also, could you meet quorum? I did not see anyone there.

By way - where were the people that did not make the HamFest zoom?

Now - as for reprimanding people, let's start by looking at good
leadership. You do not reprimand people in public, you do not scream and
yell (personal experience in a park), and you do not run over others
without finding out what they know first.
I have (and admittedly with a shoestring knowledge) taken on the Field
Days. I as a leader work with the group and not fight everyone. I know
people have lives, they are good people, and know what they are doing. My
job is to make others work easier by getting what they need and solving
problems.
1) Life happens and things need to be adjusted. (people get sick, people
have families, and stuff goes bad)
2) People make mistakes
3) A leader leads by bringing others with them.
4) Be trustworthy, reliable, and influential in a positive way.
5) Be adaptability to rapidly changing situations
6) Have ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
7) Have capacity to build and manage diverse teams

As for values, let's look at 3 sets:

   1. VIRE
      1. Volunteer
      2. Integrity
      3. Respect
   1. Excellence
   2. PRIE
      1. Professionalism
      2. Respect
      3. Integrity
   1. Excellence
   3. CUPF
      1. Charity
      2. Unity
      3. Patriotism
      4. Fraternity (This is the word used, I am not being sexist)
   4. ROBS
      1. Recognition
      2. Opportunity
      3. Belonging
      4. Safety

Maybe we need to look inside and consider what happens here and what we
need to do.
I look at these and try to practice them every time I lead. After an event,
I stop and look back, not what I achieved, but what I did not and do better
next time. We are not perfect and everyone of us has faults and needs help
sometimes.
(Example, I missed the sign and trash at the Summer Field Day. During
Winter Field Day, I corrected and made sure they were taken care of)

This club has been here for MANY years. I have been working with it for 15
years. We used to sit down and talk and share tech info and good
friendship. I am attempting to bring that back.
I have AWESOME memories of us when we had a Field Day, on days when Satan
was sweating, and we were sitting under the shade at the fire field and
having bergers and chips. EVERYONE was a family member.
Now that we are bringing in new and younger members, let's show them that
again. Let's not make this a woke group and exile everyone that we do not
agree with.
This club will be here a lot longer than we have been members. Might as
well polish it up, it is not going anywhere.

If you have a grievance with someone, talk to them privately. If that does
not work, bring in a NEUTRAL party and see if you can work it out.
That is how we do it as a professional and respected club. We do not exile
or walk out and quit.

Everyone needs to work as a team and as volunteers - we do not get paid to
do this.

And if we are going to act like this for Summer Field Day, it will
definitely be miserable, if not fail, and no one will get ahead.

Thank you all... 73
Richard

P.S. For those who want to rant at me and not talk --- > OVER - AND -
OUT!!!!

P.P.S For those leaders that have worked with me, you are not the ones I am
pointing out. You are all the ones keeping me from running into the next
wall. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
