More likely the answer would be that the various board members are spread out over the city and Zoom makes it very convenient without 2 hours of round trip travel… and allows for anyone of the 350+ members to attend from anywhere in the
world.
The meetings I have attended, majority of the board had their cameras on, so face to face did occur.
