Hello, The current french translation for IEIEO is a litteral translation of the english version, which is an obvious grave bug. From reading http://fr.wiktionary.org/wiki/mourir the most suitable candidates seem to be:
- « L'ordinateur a cassé sa pipe. » (“Computer broke his smoking pipe”) - « L'ordinateur a mangé les pissenlits par la racine. » (“Computer ate the dandelions from the roots”) I've discussed a bit with Ludo and Richard, we are a bit balanced. Both are quite "interesting", maybe the second one is more "interesting" to francophones, while the first one is simply efficient, and the meaning is really completely incongruous to non-francophones. What do people would vote for? I also invite native speakers of other languages to fix such grave bug in their respective languages. The german version is a litteral translation too, for instance.
