Hmm, if it was a _set_ of spirituality genes, then
bearers of all active genes will have "numinous
moments" (thanks for reminding me of that word!)
without any 'enhancements.'  Those missing one or more
of the active genes will have to fast, dance or stay
awake to experience "universal oneness."  Not having
exerienced these 'assisted moments,' I don't know if
they engender the same feelings/states-of-mind, but
perhaps I am being unfair in excluding them, and
drug-induced ones.  I wonder if having a 'null set' of
these spirituality genes would mean that the person
won't have the 'spiritual connectednees' even with
maximal enhancement?
