Yes, I have never tried running DVD writing with spooling turned on.  It will 
amost surely screw things up.  In your case, having one giant file (part 2) 
means that something is broken because you set the maximum part size at 800M.

I recommend the following:
1. Make sure spooling is not turned on in the bacula-dir.conf file.
2. You can leave the Spooling Directory directive in the Device resource in 
the SD as DVD writing does automatic spooling.  If you remove that directive, 
it will use your working directory for spooling.
3. Make sure our patch is really in your dvd+rw-tools as there seems to be 
something strange with the freespace routine, which is exactly what the patch 
provides.
4. Make sure you have a "Device Type = DVD" in your Device resource (I forgot 
to check).
5. Pull the current CVS or apply the patch that Richard sent this afternoon.
