It seems that "the mistery" is solved - OpenBSD doesn't have support for ommc http://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-current/man4/armv7/ommmc.4 on sunxi https://www.openbsd.org/armv7.html
Once the miniroot is written to usb stick it is able to install on the same usb stick. In the case I am still wrong about this, don't be shy to write it here, someone might read it in future.
