Card: Sound Blaster Live!On my card, muting these two - Headphone LFE and Headphone Center - happens to mute my left or right channel of the headphoens, sorry.... UNmuting them MUTES the a channel. Right now both of these are muted on my card and headphones work fine. Try this first. There is also some information on
Chip: TriTech TR28602
Master: this changes the master volume
Master Mono: this doesn't seem to have an effect on anythign, and is muted by default
Headphone LFE 1: This is 0/0 and muted by default. unmuting it does nothing. It is not possible to increase it's volume with the up arrow key, as is the case with all known-good adjustments (that's how I raise master, for example)
Headphone 1 unmuted by default. I can adjust it but it does not seem to effect anything. Headphone Center 1 0/0 by default, level cannot be adjust.

By the way, what is the meaning of the 6 dashes above certain channelsliek Surround Wave and Music?If you press space it will select that channel for "capture" i.e. "recording".
I can attach my output of "amixer" if you still have trouble, though mine is not very good - i still haven't figured how to record from a mic plugged in the mic in/line 2 on the live drive.
