I disagree. See ais523's arguments for other good reasoning, but I will also add that one of the most interesting aspects of this game is that we create gameplay out of incidental numbers, factors that were not decided beforehand.

I agree that more versatility in card transmutation methods would be helpful, but I strongly disagree with 9330's methods. Division is notably egregious.

If there is ever a serious problem of too many of a specific type of cards, we can have a purposed mechanic to destroy some of them. On Discord I suggested, on a monthly basis, destroying some proportion of the card that has the most instances, to encourage players to transmute the cards on their own, diversifying their stock.
