I said want, desire... and I think there is ambiguity here. On one hand, there are those circumstances necessary and desired for your scam; on the other, there are the circumstances which were part of your plan, including side effects that you might not necessarily have desired, but did know about and understand beforehand. You clearly didn't desire that coppro would mislead others, nor is it directly necessary for the scam, but you did plan in advance that coppro would publish such a CoE, knowing it to be incorrect and that people might be misled by it. answers.com defines intent as follows: - To have in mind; plan: We intend to go. They intend going. You intended that she go. Assuming that you knew the statement could be misleading, it was part of your plan that coppro make a misleading statement; thus, it was intentionally made.
