This is simply not true. There are a growing number of contributing AGI researchers that are convinced that consciousness is the foundation of intelligence and that the brain is a quantum computer as well as having various quantum theories of panpsychism. Personally, I find it difficult to see the human brain as not being a quantum computer, or really a hybrid, and that helps explain many things that are roadblocks in purely classical models. Orthodoxy and fixed thinking though are difficult to overcome for many as well as it being a control model where a shifting foundation is perceived as some sort of threat. But the evidence is increasing. It's similar to archaeologists discounting evidence of technologically advanced civilizations existing tens of thousands of years ago, there is ample evidence, but the establishment ignores and suppresses it for bizarre and really selfish reasons... ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T72460285b911fa58-M18de01d36e06fb75797d3cda Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
