There apparently was one person somewhere who said the line “what’s in this drink” meant he roofied her. The obvious meaning is there’s booze in the drink, and most everyone thinks she’s saying I do kind of want to stay, but surely that’s the alcohol talking. I don’t think a 1949 song is about putting drugs in your date’s drink.
