I feel like this was a mostly manufactured issue. I'm in New York. I know a lot of crunchy-granola woke mofo's and none of them give a crap about this song. I think a handful of radio stations decided to stop playing it in 2018 and then headlines came out like "a growing number of stations have BANNED this song". And that was technically true when the number grew from 3 to 4.
