We've received 4 decent size state grants, still working on the last one which was CPF funded. At this point honestly I don't want to do any more grant projects, so I would be happy if BEAD is stalled or cancelled. I'm burnt out on the pace of construction required and the economics of each one have gotten worse than the previous. Take rates we are seeing are way down on the current one, partially due to better cellular 5G and cellular home internet options, partially due to starlink adoption and those customers paralized by sunk cost fallacy and not switch to something that's cheaper and better only because of the cost they paid for the starlink kit. I feel like if BEAD continues as planned we're going to feel forced into participating to save our turf just like we were forced into RDOF.
