With so many people being able to get 5G Home Internet and Starlink, I can't
believe the R's aren't trying to scale back the BEAD program. And focus on
affordability rather than speed, like maybe bring back something that looks
like ACP to make Starlink affordable.

But maybe it's too late to get the toothpaste back in the tube. Or maybe they
would go to the states and say yes, you were allocated $1 billion or whatever
based on BDC data, but here are some new rules and if that means only $0.5
billion the rest goes back to the US Treasury.

As I heard in a hallway conversation at Wispapalooza once:

“Remember, the large print giveth, and the small print taketh away”

I ran into a guy who stretched and got RDOF, then found out once sentence in
the paperwork that was subject to interpretation almost bankrupted him. No
thanks, I’d like to sleep at night.

Charter must be tight on money, they're already trying to cut contracts, will
they have to suck it up and continue the builds or just do a corporate shuffle
and get out of it? That would definitely be a superpower few possess.
