Well, you could short it out and see what happens...
Most PoE bricks (like the kind that come with Cambium SMs, Ubiquiti, etc.)
seem to be able to hand brief shorts just fine without damaging anything...
on a lot of them the power light will blink if they're shorted. I don't
know about the higher powered kind of stuff like would come with licensed
radios, since I generally try to be a bit more careful with that sort of
thing. I'm pretty sure anything that's 802.3at/af will be fine.
