So, I created the CAT6 100% Gas Discharge Tube line of products to prevent these errors on Cambium. They fire a bit slower than a solid state surge suppressor but are very robust. As popular as they are, I presume people are starting to use them on everything. Personally I would use the GIGE line everywhere I could as it does offer better protection.
