BoxedWINE exists and works, so I don't see that there can't be a "9pcemu".

And yes, "unfortunate" is right - drawterm exists only as a concession
to the (unfortunate)fact that a user-level operating system is a hard
thing to make and is always unportable.

If you don't believe me then look at how there's never been a drawterm
for Inferno - because Inferno already had a user-level operating
system.
