I'd vote for end of the month, because I'll be away the most part of
March and this being away may require I take some time away before that.

For this, make sure that EXTRA_DIST in Makefile.am contains the set of
files you want to add to the tarball besides the usual ones (src + data
+ po)

Might be a bit short for end of February, so I guess we could reach this
step around the 4th of March instead. You'll release whenever you want,
and I'll deal with my packages when I'm back.

Fortunately, that will not be 0.8beta2, not even 0.8beta5, but 0.8!
