the week covered. Practically anything will score better then Leno. The challenge, is a market such as Baltimore, has the audience been lost permanently?
Although he wasn't given much of a chance, Conan was finishing third in a timeslot Jay was easily winning. If Jay comes back and starts winning 1130 again (along with his great relationship with the affiliates), he'll have done more than Jeff Zucker ever has...

My question is, how indiscriminate is the audience in markets where the
performance of the local news is primarily determined by its lead-in?
