I am here. I am still employed, though 34 people out of the 65 or so people I work with Daily (Plus all the others from around the Company whom I've know well for the last 11 years) were just given notice. Their last day will be March 20th. There have been assurances to the rest of Us that there is a commitment to NPR West, no one can know for sure what the future holds.
A sight I will not soon forget is seeing a lot of smart, confident, energetic and hard working folks with the wind totally sucked out of them. We are all here cause we love what we do and want to do the best job we can. It was a very hard day.
