This is mortifying. > And really dumb.
While I liked some stories on Day to Day, I never saw the reason to have it. But News & Notes (and the Tavis Smiley show before it) did have a purpose. You'd think NPR would want to keep those voices on the air after the first 100 days of Obama's administration. It also would be an ideal show to try and do online fundraising for part of the budget. I imagine a lot of the listeners don't belong to their local station (but they might join if they gave online to N&N first). You'd think they might have learned something from the backlash after they cancelled BPP. Also, I don't know how much Cokie Roberts gets paid on NPR, but we really don't need to hear her every Monday morning. She gets heard enough on ABC. Same with Juan Williams and Fox. -- Steve Rhodes http://flickr.com/photos/ari/ photos http://twitter.com/tigerbeat http://del.icio.us/tigerbeat interesting articles & sites http://ari.typepad.com http://tigerbeat.vox.com blogs --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "World News Now Discussion List" group.
