These days I'm more worried about what would happen if InstallShield just went away. Specially now that they require annual reactivation of their DRM. My operations plan is that I'd use VM's and keep reinstalling InstallShield and use the Stand Alone Build on build VM's since it doesn't have activation.
I've also worried about taking a dependency on WiX and what if it stopped being developed also. Ohwell, you take your chances I guess.
