I am currently using PayPal Express Checkout but have designed the system to allow easy adaptation. PayPal will accept a total and redirect back to the merchant site for confirmation. I cannot use Google Checkout as Google Checkout will only allow USA and UK merchant sites. PayPal Express Checkout costs nothing to set up and has no monthly fee. It does require getting to grips with an API. I don't know if normal payment processors will allow transactions from VPS sites that are required to pass on a credit card number due to security issues such as reuse of hard drive space that has not been wiped and potential security accidents. Amazon AWS EC2 has had its share of security embarrassments.
