VNC provides no features for remote printing, or even file copying. You could:
Take a screenshot with Alt-Print Screen (from your home environment, not on your work computer - VNC may need to be not the active screen to accomplish this) then paste the screen shot into Word and print that. or Print to a printer at work and have someone at work fax the printout to you. or Install fax software on your printer at work and print to your home fax number. or Some apps will let you print to a file - you could then figure out a way to get that file from your work machine to your home machine (FTP, email, ...) and then print it locally. or you could (theoretically) hook your printer up with a network card and (if it's an HP) a JetDirect print server, then set your cable modem router (if you have one) to port forward the LPR port (whatever it is) to the IP address of your printer, and then profile your machine at work to print to the LPR printer over the internet. That would be sort of fun. -----Original Message----- From: Jamie Girten [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, November 20, 2001 16:35 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Windows XP I'm using vnc and if i want to print out something from the program i am in it only gives me the option for my work printers how do i print to my home printer?
