Yes, but this has been said about Windows binaries only. I'm not able
to check are these binaries strictly correspond to my original source
code, that is why I must write such disclaimer even if I believe that
everything is ok with these binaries. And I know that the person who
has prepared binaries did that just to help Windows users, so I'm sure
that binaries are ok and there is no reason to have doubts regarding
their stability.
Alternatively, you could use TridiaVNC distribution. I'm not sure
about official stable releases, but development versions include
exactly the same tight encoding code that included in my Tight Encoder
1.1 release.
And another (maybe the best) option is to wait for the next Tight
Encoder release which is expected in the beginning of January. It will
include configurable compression, local cursor support (compatible
with Unix version), many notable speed optimizations and at least one
important bugfix (there was a bug in client side, both Windows and
Unix versions, which could cause viewer to disconnect silently in
certain very rare situations).
The 1.2 release of the Tight Encoder will be (hopefully) better
packaged as compared to previous releases: I plan to prepare RPMS for
Red Hat 6.x, 7.x and binaries with installer for Windows in addition
to patches and source code that is available today.

Anyway, if you will decide to install Tight Encoder version, let me
know about problems if any. I'll do the best I can to help solve them.
Reporting problems also could help other users of VNC Tight Encoder.
