1 problem i originally had at home was it never worked, then after about 6 weeks it did for no apparent reason, then in work i was setting up VNC, and i realized it still didn't work, the way i resolved this was to update my router firmware (i have a Netgear DG834) after doing that, it worked fine. this might help you I'm not sure,
