No, not someone else's access point...my access point....Here's
clarification...
I have a small two desktop network hard wired. Also have a laptop that I
travel with which has a 802.11g card installed. I want to connect to a wifi
signal with the laptop to access the internet...at McDonalds for example,
and use REALVNC to view one of the desktops. Connecting to the internet is
no problem, but I have yet to be able to view the desktop where VNC server
is installed. I think I have tried every combination of IP's
possible...including going to IPinfo site to get the IP of my laptop while I
am connected to a wifi signal..which will look like a different ip than the
actual laptops IP....but still no luck....any suggestions....greatly
appreciated...Bill

When you are out of range?
Do you mean that when you have the laptops plugged in with a cable they
work
but on wireless they don't?
Or am i missing something?
