If you open mail and are in your inbox, there is a button at the top right called “More”. Double tap on it and you find a small menu with the following options: Categories List View About Categories, button Show Priority, button Show Contact Photos, button
Most likely it will say “selected, Categories” and that is why you see these labels like Promotions and so on. Make sure you go to “List View” and then double tap to select it, for me this completely shows the Inbox as it always has without any of these automatic categorizations. I have heard from some people that while it does, they still hear the labels spoken, for me this is not the case and I don’t know if maybe it depends on whether you use Outlook.com or Gmail as your provider, I personally use Outlook.com/Exchange and as long as I select List View all is as it has always been.
