You can definitely set up a Yahoo email account in Outlook: Here is an answer from when I Googled “Which protocol is used by Yahoo email” Yahoo.com supports IMAP / SMTP. That means you don't have to use Yahoo.com webmail interface! You can check your emails using other email programs (like Mailbird, Microsoft Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird).
