Oh my, yes, if one can get a phone to a store, those guys live to make phones 
do whatever we want them to do. They usually can do it in a flash. 

That is what I told my cousin last year, when she finally broke down and took 
her phone to the AT&T store, and she said, like magic, the guy got her phone 
tip top.

I was going to suggest for him to take it back where he bought it whether Apple 
Store or carrier store unless of course he ordered it and doesn’t live near any 
store. An Apple Store would be his best option, they can fix this for him in no

bugling to me is that the recovery does not work either.  When I do the 
recovery I am in the same place. iTunes cannot connect to the iPhone because it

        The apple website says to do recovery mode, hit volume up quickly then 
volume down quickly then press and keep pressing the side key until the iphone

        Are you running the latest version of iTunes? I’m not sure if that’s a 
problem, but it might be. I know there have been issues in the past where you 
had to have your iTunes up to a certain level for things to work life. I can’t 
get the Quickstart to work either, and it is frustrating. I know my old iPhone 
is running the latest and greatest. But I suppose if the new iPhone isn’t, like 
maybe it’s on iOS 12.0, that might be the problem. Do you have an iCloud back 
up?
