I don't directly vacuum boards, there's a number of problems with doing that (sucking things off, and static), I only vacuum directly around the casing. Brush the board with a paintbrush with the nozzle nearby, so you don't breath in so much of the muck. Likewise with an air can through the fins of the heatsinks. The last time I did this the straw from the air can pinged off somewhere, and I never managed to find it.
