Yesterday, I had no problem writing to a USB device.

Today, with the latest batch of updates (including selinux-policy-targeted), I

Just a bit of a glitch, but an inconvenience.  It takes a bit of work to get
everything set up again.
So, the takeaway from this is "never do updates when under the gun to get
something
done"?

:)

Also, it is a good practice to run "tracer" as root to see what it suggests.

I will make a note for the future about tracer.  Thanks for this tip.
