Yes, it sounds a little odd to me, as a native english speaker..
Some other words:
Broadcast room: implies one to many, like TV or radio.
Presentation room: similar, one person presents.
Online Lecture?
Instructor Led?
One-to-many? one talks, the rest listen.. A bit long.
Restricted is an adjective. We need a noun. We can replace it with
another adjective, or go BIG and replace both, ie Presentation Space, or
Online Lecture. Attack the root, what is it? It is not a chat. It is
a presentation, a lecture, etc. Then maybe an adjective with it to
expand and explain..

I have strong feeling 3.3.1 is ready to be released
shall we rename restricted room type before release?
or maybe we shall rename it in 4.0.0?
or let it remain restricted?

Yes, I agree.
RESTRICTED is not an appropriate word and should be replaced.

I do not insist..

Subject: [DISCUSSION] Rename of restricted room type
Hello All,
It seems 'restricted' room type is very much confusing for ex. "Public
Restricted Room"
For regular user it sounds like "room with limited functionality"
Maybe it worth to rename it to be 'moderated' or 'audience' or maybe someone
can propose better name?
It would be also good change to review translations: [1] and maybe bring
them up to date :))
