Good question! I'm struggling with the same thing currently. I'm usually working with IntelliJ. However nothing happens there when I save the YAML file. Also hitting the "Make" button has no effect. So when I saw how Magnolia reloaded an edited YAML file in Mikaël's presentation at the Magnolia conference (see https://youtu.be/ibnBzkh6OK0 at about 19:00 in the video) I thought I'd give it a try with Eclipse. In Eclipse Mars, when I save a page definition YAML, Magnolia is automatically restarted and I have to log in again.
So I think it's a valid question you're asking! @ Mikaël: How did you set things up that the changes in the YAML files are picked up without Magnolia being restarted? @ IntelliJ users: Anyone got this to work on IntelliJ?
