The filters could have support for icons, where it is much economical in the mobile or tablet space. The look of application lens might look like the android app drawer. http://i.zdnet.com/blogs/app-drawer-widgets.png . However i dont favour the use of test in category items.
The categories is shown as icons instead of text. Hovering over it could display a tooltip. How about it? The use of icons fit seamlessly with the idea of making category filter visible in lens :).
