Okay I followed the above suggestion, I installed the latest drivers from ATI (10.10), I was using the version from the package manager (Catalyst control center didn't work via this) because when I first tried (with 10.9) it didn't support Maverick... I did a:
sudo apt-get remove fglrx Before installing the proprietary drivers. I've now got Powerplay setup as suggested above, I'll see what happens now. I use an AT&T 3G USB fob. The laptop "does not" lock up when it's inserted, nor does it lock up when the camera is on - So must be a slightly different variation of the problem. -- System freezes when running on battery https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/662998 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xserver-xorg-video-ati in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
