I am running 2.6.29.2 (from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v2.6.29.2/) since Saturday (about 3 days) now without any crashes or freezes.
So 2.6.29.2 seems to fix the problem for me, too. Several people report thatmainline kernel versions 2.6.29.1 to 2.6.29.4 fix the problem, but at least tow people say that 2.6.30rc3 does not. 2.6.29.6 did not work for me, so the problem was probably re-introduced in 2.6.29.5 or 2.6.29.6.
