Then there must be more than one bug causing a freeze. The one that can be provoked by the script under the current jauty kerneln and was obviously fixed in kernels 2.6.29.2 .4 .5 and .6 and 2.6.31-020631rc5. Kernels in between may have reintroduced the bug, as Juhuu stated (or Juhuu's freezes came from the other bug)...
