LCury : Thanks for the confirmation! That means that you problem was the "pretty-popular" bug 150930 (ubiquity which install wrong values in /etc/usplash.conf in Gutsy). I'm glad to see that it's fixed for you now. Hardy should install correct values in the final release so this bug won't appears again.
psl or Gary Foster : Can you look if the content of your /etc/usplash.conf files also contains too high values, adjust them if necessary by following the steps I gave to LCury and confirm if you can still reproduce that issue? If you can still reproduce the issue even after adjusting /etc/usplash.conf and running sudo update-initramfs -u, the following informations might help me to triage this bug report : 1. The ubuntu version you are using. 2. The file created by this command on a terminal : lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.txt 3. The output of this command on a terminal : cat /etc/usplash.conf 4. The output of this command on a terminal : uname -a Thanks to everybody who contributed to this bug report so far. -- Ubuntu graphical boot uses too high horizontal frequency (LCD display problem) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/81206 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
