Thanks Ben for helping us, the mortal users of Ubuntu. I am sure this will get fixed soon, so guys, be patient please. Do a network installation of Ubuntu (like I did) and you'll have a working OS, unless your HDDs are connected to the Jmicron controller. If you can get it to install on SATA hdds, then compile your own 2.6.18kernel and you'll have your cd/dvd roms. If you don't want or don't know how to compile a kernel, then sit without your CD-Roms until Edgy gets released and please don't make useless comments like : "do you really fix it". Thanks and sorry for being the harsh comment, but I think it's time some of you guys be more quiet.
