@Saurabh, you should have grub-efi and not grub-pc installed if you are booting in efi mode. When you do boot, do you see the windows boot loader first, and then have to choose grub, or does grub come up straight away? Can you run ls /boot/efi/EFI/Microsoft/Boot?
@Adam, there have been issues like this on every release. The symbol name is different but the cause is the same: grub was only half updated. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1289977 Title: Ubuntu 14.04 Update breaks grub, resulting in "error: symbol 'grub_term_highlight_color' not found" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1289977/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
